A Brief Glimpse Of The Events That Decorated The School Calendar This Year

  • School parliament election: school witnessed election for the school parliament captains with fair and just election process. Master.Sharon was elected as the head boy and Miss. Aparna Pramod as the head girl. The newly elected senate members were adorned with sashes and took the pledge to be responsible ideal students.

  • World Reading Day: World Reading Day was inaugurated by Mr.Bobhan Nedumbarambil, Chairperson, Maradu Municipality. K R Nandha Kumar Metro Vartha senior circulation Manager were assembled on that day to hoist this function to a huge ceremony.

  • International Drug Abuse day: International Drug abuse day was grantly inaugurated by Dr.Sisy ( DMO) and other dignitaries. On the same day oath was taken by the students and the staff against drug addiction

  • Onam celebration: The valued tradition of the land, Onam, was celebrated with glee and gaiety. Sr.Sheeba CP Presided over the function, and delivered the message. Pookalam competition, onapattu, thiruvathira, augmented the festivities. Malayalam manga and Malayalam Sriman competiton was also organized for KG Kids.

  • Sports day: sports and games are the best way to make ourselves fit in all respects. It plays a vital role in our life as it keeps us healthy, wealthy and of course active. Our school had organized sports meet for three days. The first day Annual sports meet was flagged off by Mr. Joy T Antony Captain of Indian Port Badminton team. The second day sports meet was inaugurated by Mr. Tom Joseph Indian Volley Ball Player and an Arjuna Award Winner. Students show cased their talents in various athletic events.

  • Youth festival: youth festival was organized to provide a platform for the students to express their talents especially in the field of art and culture. Rev.Fr.Roshan, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Nettoor, set the pace for the day with a motivational speech.

  • Children’s day celebration: children’s day was marked with awareness rally on social issues inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Elavungal, Parish Priest, IHM, Nettoor and X th grade students performed a flash Mob at our school Ground. The teachers entertained the children with various programs. On this day we raised funds to support economically less privileged children.

  • Christmas celebration: Christmas spirit of joy and sharing was augmented by skit, dance, carol and live crib by the students. Fr.Patrick Elavungal inaugurated the function and brightened the day with wonderful message.

  • Tours and one day trip: outdoor learning experiences were organized to supplement classroom learning. Gorettians were taken to one day trip to water Theme Park and Alapuzha and students of class X to Mysore and Bangalore for school excursion.

  • Kids days: Each month kids day was celebrated, with specific themes, namely birds, flowers day ice cream day, speech competition ect. The winners were encouraged with prizes.

  • Camp and orphanage visit: our school had arranged two days free eye camp for all the students which was conducted by Vasan Eye care. 10th grade students visited the old age home at Mariyalayam, Panangad. Cultural programmes were conducted to entertain them. The collected hygenic items from the students were handed over to them.

  • Club days: club activities will make the students more qualified, enough confident as well as a capable person who can can lead the situation. Our school consists of seven clubs which are more functional in practical and conducted various programmes, seminars, study tour, exhibitions, competitions ect. With the guidance support of the in charge teachers.

  • Competitions and achievements: students were encouraged to participate in the competitions conducted by CBSE and various other organizations, in order to enhance and perpetuate their inborn talents.

    • Drawing competion was conducted from the part of Bank of Baroda and the winners were awarded with attractive gifts.
    • Our students participated in a quiz competition conducted by Nettoor Gopalan master Sargavedi Library and Nettoor Ajayans subjections library.
    • During Karshiga Dhinam, our students had participated the different competitions like speech competitions like speech competitions, essay writing, quize and drawing that were arranged by Krishi Bhavan. Seven Students Bagged prizes.
    • We are proud to announce that our school had participated in All Kerela CBSE children’s Fest and won two prizes, first prize for group dance and consolation prize for handwriting competition. As well as four of our students had participated in 16th Okinawa Goju- Ryu open karate championship in Malaysia. Among them Allwyn Thomas won gold medal and Solomon Joseph from IX STD won silver medal. Whereas Leo Patric and Adith Krishna from VIII std won Bronze medal.
  • EXAMS: Exams are meant to assess the cognitive progress of the students in a specific duration. Written assessments were conducted at regular interval and open houses were organized for teacher parent interaction and feedback, thus furthering the learning experience. Conclusion: As I conclude my report, I bow my head in gratitude to the almighty God for the blessings he has showered upon this institution.
